TABARI AYO

Tabari Ayo's driving force stems from movement, social justice, and spiritual development. His natural affinity with body and movement first expressed at a young age, dancing and performing at every opportunity. Tabari then progressed into the world of athletics, representing England in basketball.

Following this, his passion for helping others led to him spending 11 years working with vulnerable people, community groups and local authorities. Feeling disillusioned by the system, a move to Thailand began a spiritual journey which led Tabari to a small island in the Gulf of Thailand where he connected with a transient community of spiritual teachers, healers and truth seekers.  Here Tabari formed 'Dance of the 5 Tribes' in 2013, with classes at Orion Healing Center, The Sanctuary Thailand  Spa Resort and Mount Vista Yoga Retreat.

In 2016 Tabari moved to Brazil where he was inspired by indegineous Brazilian spirituality. He connected with Shamans, experiencing ceremonies and medicine healing. Since returning to the UK Tabari sought to offer a sacred space for people to connect to their authentic self and tap into there own self-love, so began Okan Movement in 2018
